Contemporary urban jazz saxophonist and clinician Bobby Ricketts wanted to gather support for his music development seminar ‘The Band Doctor’ but encountered the same problem over and over: “I would describe my seminar concept to empower young musicians in developing countries and people would say ‘fantastic idea!’… then they would come back several days later and ask ’so exactly what is it you’re trying to do?’ I decided it was necessary to tell the whole story - in living pictures…” Third Wave Interactive and its WaveMediaGroup partners kicked into gear, storyboarded Bobby’s concept and produced a 20-minute documentary about The Band Doctor Seminar in broadcast quality, just in time for a world premiere at an exclusive event in Japan.
